Desktop speaker system ideal for MP3 music
With its stylish design and quality performance, the Creative Inspire T3130 is the perfect choice when you want to take a step up from ordinary speakers.
This 2.1 speaker system features the Creative Image Focusing Plate (IFP) design which improves sonic directivity and imaging while preserving tonal accuracy. You can also fine-tune your audio preferences by accessing the wired remote control and bass control easily on the subwoofer. Conveniently connect these sleek speakers to your PC, notebook or MP3 player, and experience great audio immediately! For everyday music listening at an amazing value, the Inspire T3130 is your ideal companion.
Creative Image Focusing Plate design
The system's Creative IFP (Image Focusing Plate) design features a flare surrounding the satellite driver to improve sonic directivity and imaging to the listening area, giving music more focus while preserving tonal accuracy. With the IFP incorporated in the speakers' satellites, it results in improved acoustic throw to the listening area while preserving tonal balance and accuracy.
Imagine yourself increasing the volume of your voice by cupping your hands around your mouth - the tone of your voice changes versus pre-cupping. Hence, although you improve the loudness and directivity to your intended audience, the tonal balance of your voice changes. However, with the IFP, there is a "gentle flare" around the driver, improving its efficiency and directivity without affecting the tonal balance.
Feel clean, explosive bass from the subwoofer, thanks to its large flared port tube design. Defying its size, at only 213mm x 160mm x 227mm (H x W x D) and 2.7 kilograms, the subwoofer will really help to bring your music and movies to life. You can even set your desired bass level simply by adjusting the volume knob located on the subwoofer itself.
Wired remote control
Enjoy the convenience of powering on/off the speaker system and adjusting its volume with the included wired remote. Place it within convenient reach on your desktop to easily control your speaker system, without needing to adjust the volume on your computer.
Place these magnetically-shielded speakers anywhere you want, even near notebooks or LCD/CRT monitors, as they wouldn't cause any image distortion or interference. Their small footprint also optimises space on your desktop, reducing unnecessary clutter. They are perfectly suited to also work as a speaker system for your MP3 player. Each speaker is 150mm x 75mm x 90mm (H x W x D) and weighs 355 grams
Creative produce a wide range of speakers from small desktop multimedia speakers, to surround sound 5.1 systems. See the range here.

The Logitech Z205 was also another choice, but I rarely take my laptop anywhere so that was out of the question. Also the Z205 was said to be very poor when you increase the volume.
After an hour of trawling through various review sites I settled for the Creative speakers. For their price and specifications they were really good. I only needed speakers for my room, not to destroy the house with them.
After ordering them they came the next day via First class royal mail which was surprising! After unboxing them the setup was really easy. All you had to do was plug in the bass box to the mains, plug in the speaker cable to the bass box and then plug in the jack lead into any device: laptop headphone socket, iPod, zen, even walkman!
Anther nifty little feature is that it has a little volume control which you can place anywhere. The cable lengths arn't too stingy as well and will easily reach from the back of a Pc to the front.
The bass box itself also has a bass volume and it does NOT dissapoint! For it's size and price it really packs a punch and with the bass volume turned up and the volume on low, you can feel the bass pumping out.
when I tested it to its limits, (bass max, volume max) there is hardly any distortion at all and it also makes the floor rumble which is quite epic.Read more ›
The set up is simple and easy, and once i had it hooked up, i was amazed with the sound quality.
Even when connected to my old, broken mp3 player, it still pumped out crisp sound
just make sure that you dont crank the bass up too much if you have pictures on your wall, lmao.
Especially because of the price, this is an excellent product and well worth the money.
First viewing revealed good quality looking speakers and a sufficient instruction sheet for anyone to get up and running. I thought i'd try the new creative gear out on my t.v. first just to make sure everything was working ok and get a sample as to the quality before installing it where i'd planned to. Obviously it was an improvement to the normal on-board speakers in a flat screen t.v. so i was pleased straight away. After a day or so I unplugged them to listen to the t.v. without, and it was then I realised what a considerable improvement the creative speakers had made and I plugged them back in straight away.
Having spent most of my career as a professional musician i'd hope that if nothing else I know a bit about speakers and tone in general, and I have to say these are very good quality sound wise taking into account the cost, (I paid just over £25 I think) and I'd recommend them to anyone who was thinking about upgrading from the in-built speakers of a flat-screen t.v. or adding speakers to their laptop. I've even played my i-pod through this kit and the quality although not super Hi-Fi is more than acceptable as a main music source. I'm sure there are other systems out there far more expensive than this and probably no where near as good. Value for money I really rate these, and the reason for only 4 stars is purely that there will be better quality out there, at a price.Read more ›
