To sell me one set of dodgy speakers may be regarded as a misfortune; to sell me two looks like carelessness. Great speakers but both sets suffered from the same problem. The volume kept going up and down erratically on its own, especially if I touched the volume wheel. Both sets I got were all right for a while but then they both went on the blink a short time later. I love the speakers, they really are good, nice and loud, good ergonomics but my confidence is so undermined I'm not sure I'd buy Creative speakers ever again. I don't normally write reviews or do feedback or anything but I was moved to do it this time because I am so upset.

I have had these now for 3 days and the volume wheel (which is separate) has broken thus doesn't switch of and doesn't really work the volume any more so having to send them back.
This could just be bad luck on my part(though having read other reviews on the web it appears either there are a lot of unlucky people or it is wider problem.
Aside from that if the volume does work the sound from the speakers is really really good. A lot better than my logitech speakers.
I am going to buy some more creative speakers but I think I will still to ones where the volume control is on the speakers thus something less to breakdown.

This model appears to have a known fault - i.e. the desktop remote is hopeless. This is noted by a number of buyers now, and is simply unacceptable!
The volume is erratic, and the speakers also cut out, and takes table banging of the stupid dongle thing to get it to function. Such a shame as they started out sounding great.
The Creative Labs returns policy is also deliberately unhelpful.
Don't waste your money and avoid at all costs!!

Great Sound Rubbish Volume Control!

they make a difference

Big let down.

Good sound quality for the money Only critisism would be the on/off volume control appears a lttle fragile. Pleased with the product overall.
