Product Description

Audio precision in style
Creative's GigaWorks T3 speaker system brings you music as you've never heard it before. Blending innovative design, the best components and state-of-the-art technologies, it offers a new level of excellence in music listening on your PC/Mac or MP3 player.

SLAM subwoofer delivers deep bass
The SLAM subwoofer delivers
deep, tight bass

The two satellites deliver the most accurate sound in great detail, thanks to the premium drivers that are tuned to deliver a rich mid-range and clear highs. Music from the satellites combines naturally with bass from the subwoofer, which uses SLAM design (Symmetrically Loaded Acoustic Module) with three drivers to deliver excellent dynamics for deep, tight bass. The GigaWorks T3 features patent-pending Low Standby Power technology to reduce power consumption in standby mode, and for total convenience it has a wired remote with volume control, plus Aux-In and headphone connector.

Speakers designed for appearance and performance
These speakers have more than just good looks; they are built to produce a rich sound with enough presence to fill any room. Each satellite speaker has an audiophile-quality driver surrounded by a stylish chrome trim ring.

The SLAM subwoofer features three individual drivers and the type of deep bass you'd expect from a much larger unit. Highly engineered and extensively tuned, the portless design utilises a master driver and dual pressure drivers housed in a highly compact inert enclosure. This three-driver configuration delivers the quick transient response of a small driver together with the high-output capability and deep bass extension of larger drivers. Stick it anywhere in the room to feel the explosions in your soundtracks or the drumbeats and bass riffs in your music.

easy access volume control and heapdhone jack
Twist dial wired remote for volume
control and aux/headphone connection

Control and connections at your fingertips
Volume is controlled from a stand-alone pod, so you can choose where it goes for convenience and easy access. The large, easy-grip dial lets you set the perfect volume level, simply twist the dial to increase or decrease the music volume.

The pod also has an integrated auxiliary input--no more crawling around behind your equipment to find a place to plug in your MP3 player. Simply plug your MP3 player into the auxiliary input and sit back and enjoy your music. Also you can easily plug your headphones into the built-in jack, for private listening.

Power-saving technology
When you're not enjoying the GigaWorks T3, the system's power-save mode consumes far less energy than a standard speaker system. Each GigaWorks T3 satellite speaker measures 93mm x 149mm x 76mm (WxHxD) and weighs 352 grams. The subwoofer measures 236mm x 213mm x 287mm (WxHxD) and weighs 5.9 kilograms.

Creative produce a wide range of speakers from small desktop multimedia speakers, to surround sound 5.1 systems. See the range here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome-even at low volume 30 Jun 2010
I bought this to replace the standard speakers that came with my computer system. I use them only for playing music via i-tunes. Initially i thought that the sound didn't sound very balanced - a bit tinny and too much bass.....UNTIL i spent an hour or so getting the graphic equaliser set up correctly - now I have to say that the sound that these speakers produce is awesome. I am only using the system on 20% of it's bass output - and it is incredible. The small speakers are capable of the highest definition and even on 20% the depth and resonance of the sub-woofer completely fills the room with sound - even at low volumes. I dare'nt turn the bass any higher as I've got neighbours!!!(and i live in a detached house).
The metal small speakers look neat and compact - the sub-woofer is hidden beneath my desk and it's power is - well - sort of like an earthquake/volcano etc. I think you do have to play with your Graphic Eq.to get this to sound right.Listening to my music is a new level of enjoyment with this speaker system

2.0 out of 5 stars No middle 19 Oct 2010
I play the classical organ and piano. I want to listen to music and play CDs. These speakers are not bad, clear sound, but there is no real middle to the sound. You get exaggerated high and low frequency (the amount of bass boost is really ridiculous and is not satisfactorily controlled by the bass level control, the amount of bass is just stupid even on the lowest setting), this might not bother some people (people that like to listen to music the way Classic FM transmits it with over exaggerated bass, for example) and probably makes games sound effects really good, but for music and for the money this system is just not up to it. Over priced, but you do get a nice overall volume control...
My Altec Lansing system sounded much better (which I gave to my son), although the bass unit was enormous and weighed a ton, and the satellite speakers were quite large too compared to the ones on this new system - I guess speaker size really does matter! Think I'll do a swap....

In summary, only buy this if you have plenty of money and if you want to play pop music and like BOOM BOOM BOOM bass sounds, or if you want to play games and like to explode things with a MASSIVE BANG!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome but a bit expensive! 17 Jan 2011
I bought these to replace my Altec Lansing VS2421 and Boston Acoustics BA790 (quite old). Yes, this piece of work is much more expensive than the previous ones but I can assure you it's worth the money. One of the best desktop/ laptop speaker I've ever heard so far. Been using this for 5 months now on my laptop.

Music Pros:
1. Sound clarity is brilliant.
2. Tried increasing the volume to maximum still no distortion (build for big boys. HAHA.)

Music Cons:
1. *NONE*

Movie Pros:
1. Crystal clear sound.

Movie Cons:
1. The bass is too deep (booming) even when you actually turn the knob completely to zero.

Overall Pros and Cons:
1. The satellite speakers cover can be opened to make it look funky or if you prefer the classy feel, leave it on.
2. The volume knob creaks from the moment I bought it. That bothered me at first but you'll get used to it. It doesn't really affect anything except for the annoying screeching sound you get just like from a rusty shopping trolley's wheel.
3. It would be nicer to have a wireless controller so that you don't have to reach for the volume knob if you are listening to it from a distance.
4. You have to get behind the sub-woofer to adjust the bass (a bit of a hassle).

In conclusion, I would recommend this to any audiophiles who don't have the chance to listen to it live first (in stores if you can still find it), you won't regret it if you are going to use it only for music (please read "cons for movies"). You probably need to think a little bit if you are using this for movies. Overall, a perfect companion for music lovers and audiophiles out there.
