And what a collection it is - from the gorgeous to the grotesque. I'm not sure that it really is a beginners book though it does start with a basic pattern but it is certainly inspirational and I am very pleased that I decided to buy it. I am just starting doll making (only 1 made so far) and this book has given me some wonderful ideas for future projects. I think that anyone interested in the art of cloth doll making should seriously consider adding this book to their library, the costumes for dolls and ideas for hair and so on are amazing. I shall certainly be referring to this book constantly and would definately recommend it.

This must be one of the best books ever. As long as you can sew and follow a pattern it takes you right through the basics and on. Careful help in doing the most daunting bits, and the most wonderful picture gallery to inspire you to get going. Worth every penny.

This book has everything you need. The instructions are very detailed and there are plenty of patterns included. There are many inspirational examples by different doll artists to show what can be achieved. I loved the beadwork as well and there are instructions for that too, it is extremely good value.
