For people with big arms and working out,
By
This review is from: Creative ZEN X-Fi Armband (Electronics)
If you have big beefy arms, and you're going to work out, this will do a job for you. But if you have small arms, you'll find that there's too much material in the strap, and you won't be able to get a snug fit.
The armband is also large in comparison to the player. The opportunity was there to make something smaller, more in proportion to the player, but you end up with a great big carbuncle on your arm. The amount of material in the strap, and the nature of the velcro fastening also mean that it's very awkward to try to get a good fit with your spare hand. The pouch into which you put the player is also open ended, and whilst maybe in practice it could be safe, I was worried that the player would fall out. It would be simple to add a retaining strap. I wanted something that I could use when out and about, that isn't too big and obvious, and is easy to do up and adjust. This isn't it.

Great Armband, snug fit, does what it needs to do,

X-Fi player fits snugly into the slot and there's no chance that it will fall out especially if you feed the headphone cable out through the hole in the side. At its smallest, the armband has a circumference of 29 cms so if your arms are smaller than this you may have a problem - although you could gain a few more centimetres by only using half of the velcro pad (and having half sticking out, not attached).
This is a great product and does the job fine. The only negative thing for me is that the on-off switch is not accessible - a simple slot in the back of the pocket would have solved this (and I may make this modification myself). Although with the armband on, the switch isn't accessible anyway. But that's an issue with the design of the player, not the armband.

Zen on the move,

This review is from: Creative ZEN X-Fi Armband (Electronics)
I bought the Zen Armband as I often listen to my music on the move. It's particularly handy when in the gym as positioned on your arm is both convenient and reduces the length of earphone wires hanging which can be easily pulled out normally.
The Armband feels of good quality and the velcro holding it on is strong so its not going to fall of your arm any time soon. The only comment i have had from other people is that it looks like I have a heart monitor on my arm, but as long as that does not bother you then it does exactly what it says on the box.
