Noise isolation

Passive noise-isolation technology does not make use of any power or electronics to block out surrounding noise. Rather, it employs the choice of optimum construction materials and an ergonomic design to block out as much noise as possible from entering the ear canal. Think of it as sound-proofing for your ears. With the Aurvana Live headphones this comes in the form of soft and thick innovative "memory foam" ear-paddings that fit snugly over your ears and keep the noise out. They also have the added benefit of leaking less noise out, meaning you can enjoy your music without worrying if you are disturbing those around you.

Revolutionary drivers

Aurvana Live! uses performance Neodymium magnet drivers with composite bio-cellulose diaphragms to produce crystal clear and detailed highs, coupled with deep and rich bass tones. The ultra-thin bio-cellulose diaphragm delivers the same sound velocity as an aluminum or titanium diaphragm along with the warm and delicate sound of paper diaphragms.

The Aurana Live headphones look and feel as good as they sound.

Having happily used my Technics (Panasonic) FP-350's for the last 5 years I decided to see how far things had come in the sub £100 bracket for headphones.

    Pros:
    Plenty of CONTROLLED bass
    Good mid range & treble
    Extension cable for PC use
Good build quality & thickness cables
Comfortable for long periods of usage

    Cons:
Mirror finish is a magnet for fingerprints

Overall I'm delighted with the performance, especially considering they only cost me £59.99. I've used headphones costing twice this much which haven't provided the same level of sound quality.

IMHO if you are in the market for a set of headphones for less than £100 you will NOT be disappointed with these.

I'm what you can call an audiophile, I've owned almost all "top-tier" IEMs since the SM3 to the UM3X, to Sony EX1000, to... everything in the between as well as very good headphones. I must say that these are one of the best headphones I've heard right next to the DENON HP700/D2000's. The treble is one of the best I've heard, cymbals are incredibly realistic with perfect extension and decay. Resolution is excelent, if you're a "treble-head", you'll immediately fall in love by the CALs. Highs even outperform the DENON HP700 in realism, which is quite an achievement. Mids are forward, lush and sweet, male vocals are crystal clear with very good definition. Micro-detail is very good on these, almost as good as the DENONs. The low end is the grip. It's not as textured and detailed as the HP700 (not even close). If you're a bass-head these are not for you, unless you amp them with a Digizoid ZO2, but count with some distortion at high volumes and you won't feel the drivers shaking as with bass-head headphones. Overall they're great value for money. 4 stars due to the not spectacular bass (at all), but incredibly good treble and mids. Instrument separation is above average and soundstage is good for a closed can. Anyways I just have 50 hours burn-in on them, I'll let you know if they improve within the next 100 hours or so.

I would say that these are excelent budget headphones for jazz due to the extremely defined and accurate treble, but not for Trance, Metal, etc, due to the uncontroled/slow/weak bass. For those genres have a look at the DENON HP500 (same drivers as the HP700, just smaller soundstage) and they cost the same as the Creatives. The HP500/700 have one of the best bass quality I've heard. Definition/texture is simply stunning (not to mention the micro-detail - they are detail monsters).

I'll start by saying unlike most when it comes to anything I buy I'm very research heavy because at the end of the day I want something that is good quality and isn't ridiculously priced as, let's face it, most electronics come from the far east. That said, I narrowed down my choice between 3 headphones and I chose this because it is by a well known company dealing with audio hardware etc so took a chance.

I was without sounding cheesy, blown away by the quality of sound it produced. The comfort is also impressive I have sat for hours literally and not had any discomfort, it fits my head fine. Build quality matches superior sound quality and unlike some brands *coughsennheiser* this is definitely built to last. There's not one negative thing I can say about these headphones which is rare as I'm usually quite critical about most things (I'm a designer) so that's saying something! Oh and I also used to own a pair of wireless Sennheisers which weren't as comfy and had issues with radio signal conflict so I much prefer wired ones.

I have just recently received my Creative Aurvana Live headphones and I must say that value for money these headphones are great ! I am not a audiophile, but from the moment I plug the headphones into my IPod Touch, the difference in quality was sensational! Thet are also very comfortable to wear and look and feel like quality headphones for much more money than they cost. Some people have commented about finger smudges on the sides, due to the classy mirrored-finish. Yes, you can leave a mark on them, but they come with a generously-sized microfibre carry-bag which also doubles up as a polishing cloth. To be quite honest, as far as finger marks are concerned, does it really matter a jot? Additionally they come with an extension cord, so if you want them for your MP3 player you dont have to walk around with 9-feet of wire as the standard length is just right for out and about. There is also an additional larger-sized jack plug included. These are 5-STAR headphones in my view and I would thoroughly recommend these. If you are in need of headphones that offer exccelent value and sound way, way above their price then you should consider these. You wont be disappointed, these are stunning in sound and looks.

This headphones are very comfortable, and there is a nice mircofiber pouch great for cleaning the headphones, my iPod Touch and my glasses... xD

Sound stage is impressive, and bass is really controlled, yet punchy.

This heaphone is the 'same' as Denon AH-D1001, built in same factory by Foster.
They have confirmed the same driver, wire but lil different case. Many people says Creative got better bass than the Denon's ones, as I don't own one, I can't really comment on it.

Grab it while you can! At this price nothing beats it!
