'Creating Wire and Beaded Jewelry' is the perfect gift book for a friend or member of the family who has an interest in crafts. Even if they've never held a pair of pliers before, or made a pair of simple earrings, this book clearly illustrates every stage and informs and inspires! You can definitely create beautiful pieces of jewellery by following the step-by steps in this book. The quality of the photography is clear, stylish and very appealing. Anyone who can tie their shoelaces and see, could attempt these projects. The other attractive aspect of the craft is that it is affordable - just wire, beads and three tools. A perfect gift book for anyone with creative tendencies!

This was the first (and the best) book I bought on making wire and beaded jewellery.
Clear, concise instructions, good photographs and inspirational designs - both basic and more advanced. You can create good pieces inexpensively, using only a few tools. The fastenings section is very good, particularly if you're making bracelets or necklaces - they are easy to make yet look very professional.
Having been really inspired by this book I went and bought Linda Jones latest wire and beaded jewellery book and was very disappointed. It wasn't a patch on this one - the instructions weren't as clear, the pieces weren't as nice (there were only two which I thought worth making). So if you're looking and think you'll go with the newest volume don't. Stick with this one, it's the best.

This was the first book I bought on making wire jewellery. She takes a simple approach yet the pieces are effective. I have made some of the projects as small gifts and they have been very popular.
I would definitely recommend this book if you're looking for a good grounding in wire work.

I have all of Linda Jones books and I have to say this book is by far her best. Don't even bother with her other two books just buy this one as I know you won't be disappointed.
The projects inside the book are easy to follow with great step by step instructions including close up photographs. If you are a beginner this book is all you need to get you started and I'm sure with a little practice you'll be creating these beautiful pieces with ease!.

straightforward, comprehensive book.Good section about equipment-tools, wire etc and techniques ranging from making fasteners to making chains. plenty of simple projects for total beginners and some more demanding ones for the brave(or more experienced!)

I bought this book and "Wire and Celtic Jewellery" by the same author at once. I preferred the other title!
I have never before done any sort of jewellery craft and yet this week have made several items that are impressive for a beginner (if I do say so myself!) Linda Jones gives fantastically simple to understand instructions and her designs are both pretty and stylish.
I have given the book a four rather than a five because the styles of jewellery in the two books are quite similar and I think it could have done with a couple of slighter harder designs. I am chomping at the bit for more of a challenge than these books offer.
I would recommend this book to other beginners, it really whets your creative appetite!

I have used and adapted many of these designs to make happily received birthday and Xmas gifts!
The book has everything from Egyptian style earrings to Valentine's Day and wedding jewellery. The pictures are bright and attractive and best of all, the instructions are incredibly user friendly.
The basic materials are also extremely affordable (mostly glass beads and copper wire, as well as your regular beading tools) - no rubies or sapphires here!
Once you've mastered the techniques the world's your oyster!
