This short book is a good place to start if you are new to Dreamweaver or need a bit of a kickstart. By working through a simple project, you learn various aspects of Dreamweaver, including a bit on CSS and how to add navigation menus, as well as the obvious stuff on links, tables and images.
It's written in a really easy-to-read style and there are supporting files available online, including images used in the project and "before" and "after" web pages and stylesheets for each chapter, so that you can check your work. This is particularly handy if you can't identify any problems in your code.
The author's website also has notes relating to the book and downloads, so it's worth reading through those before you start. And you can even contact the author with queries.
I can't give this full marks because there appeared to be a few minor mistakes which I spotted because I had done an introductory Dreamweaver course a while back, but I'm not sure others would notice (do check the website in case this is updated to reflect these in future). Also because sometimes a new chapter would work on a new web page that I didn't realise I was supposed to have created. But overall a much nicer way to get started with DW CS4 than one of the usual doorstop books.
