3.0 out of 5 stars A little dissapointed, 12 Feb 2007
Overall, this is quite a nice book with some good inspiration for creating christmas themed projects such as a fairy, table runner, tree decorations. But please don't expect the pattern for the lovley vintage boot alternative to a stocking to be in the book as I did - because it's not ! What is in the book are rough patterns for the embelishments on the boot (i.e. the flowe and leaves etc). I think the book would have been vastly improved by the addition of complete patterns, even if they had to be enlarged as i'm crafty not artistic.

3.0 out of 5 stars Eye Candy & Ideas, 4 Oct 2008
By Mrs. B. Handford "Biff" (UK) - See all my reviews

Lots of eye candy & ideas...

The two best projects:
1)the boot stocking, which in all fairness is layed out step by step but lacking a pattern
2)the air drying clay fairy tree topper, which is beautiful, but lacks any info at all apart from the fact it's made out of air drying clay!

Overall a very nice coffee table book over the festive period but not something you want to read every word of or feel the need to refer to!

To be honest I thought the other projects that were detailed were all rather lame, poor even in some cases:(

But it does have a very nice front cover & I'm going to have a bash at an air drying clay fairy tree topper so did serve as some inspiration :)

2.0 out of 5 stars Pretty - but disappointing, 1 Sep 2008
By Crafty Helen (Suffolk, UK) - See all my reviews
This book is full of pretty pictures, but there are very few 'step-by-step projects'. I love all things festive, but would not recommend this to a fellow crafter, it is just disappointing!

On the cover is a lovely design for christmas stockings, however, the template isn't included. When I complained to the publishers they did not give a damn. Read more
