Product Description

Grab a pair of scissors, a precision knife, a stylus, and some paper: Its kirigami time! With this book and kit, the ancient craft of cut-paper forms receives a thoroughly modern makeover that offers limitless possibilities. The guide instructs exactly how to fold the included coloured paper, make careful snips and incisions, and open up the creations to reveal spheres, royal crosses, baroque swirls, Polynesian masks, honeycombs and more. Then, follow the easy steps and helpful illustrations to build three-dimensional paper sculptures, like the Five-Pointed Star or the Autumn Leaves Doily.

Stupendous! ¡Estupendo! 16 Oct 2010
By Latin Pod - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I've been following Mr. Molina's artistic career for a couple of years, and am glad to see he now has a book published. This is a stupendous book for the beginner to intermediate paper crafter, since the designs increase in difficulty. However, advanced paper crafters may be inspired to create new designs and find innovative applications to this old world craft. This is NOT a book for young children. The use of sharp blades, scoring tools, and protractors would make it dangerous and frustrating. Artistically gifted 10 year and older children may be able to use it with supervision - great for teaching geometrical concepts. So, purchase the book, get your basic paper crafting tools, and escape to a world of creative entertainment.

This is a great book for the beginning kirigamist. There are dozens of modern designs that will appeal to adults as well, and are easy enough to create by children. It comes in a beautiful, deluxe box, with both paper and cardstock. Makes a stunning and inexpensive gift!
