I tried this product out many years ago, had alot of fun with it. I wouldn't reccommend anyone over the age of 14 to try this, it's more for kids. Best going for something like FPS Creator/X10 that is a lot more up to date with current games. Even then, if you want to create commercial standard games, FPS creator wouldn't be nearly enough, and especially not this.
But anyway, this isn't such a bad product, although I'll mention that to sell any games made with this, you need to aquire a license. Bleh, who would buy games made with this anyway. :)

Good fun 7 Jan 2010
By Mr. R. Hamper VINE™ VOICE
I have been playing around with this for fun, the stuff you should know.

- This software is based on DarkBASIC (it is made by the same guys, the "engine" used was built in Dark BASIC)

- All games are compiled with a message at the end saying you shouldn't have paid for this game

- This is more of a fun build an instant game for instant gratification tool, more then a full blown 3D Game maker.

- All the models and textures seem "home made", nothing wrong with that, just don't expect Halo quality visuals.

This is a great tool however for kids, and even some of the older generation, I program in DarkBASIC Professional, and am starting to learn C++, I even dab a bit with FPS Creator (again by the same company) but this software can still be a laugh to use.

You can spend time desigining your own level layouts, you can customise where the enemies are, what they fire, what their health is etc, you can choose many aspects of the game level and stuff. However it gets very tedious after a while.

I do love the "auto-create" feature, where the software will auto-generate a full game for you to play, which of course you can save / compile and share to friends.

Again it is a great fun tool for people that want to make a game, with instant results, I don't regret buying my copy, as I still use it, however if you are serious about making games, I would reccomend learning a language, DarkBASIC Professional is a great tool to use for this, or if you just want to make first person shooters, the FPS Creator will be your best choice.
