I had no experience with graphical design software, so I purchased this book thinking I'd at least give it a try, without having to spend much money. The book is well written and easy to follow. Within a couple of hours, I was working with photos and understanding how to use layers to make my ebook covers. I placed a sailboat on a stormy sea, a man in a room, and a portrait on a wall. It was not as difficult as I thought it would be. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to create their own ebook covers on a limited budget. $1.99 well spent in my opinion. Learned a lot in a short time period.
