Actress and photographer Kris Carr thought she had a hangover, but a Jivamukti yoga class didn't provide its usual kick-ass cure. A visit to her doctor confirmed her "liver looked like Swiss cheese," covered with cancerous tumors. I really liked this book, so far it is the only book on cancer that - even though it is it horrible what Kris is going through - it is very uplifting and humerous at the same time. There is loads of good tips and advice, whether it be about doctors, diet, how to make yourself feel a bit better about yourself whilst going through it etc.
My favourite quote from it was "cancer survivors are like teabags, you never know how strong they are until you put them in hot water". I really liked that and it's true!
If anyone is going through cancer, then i suggest they read this book and it may just give them some advice, support, positive thoughts and more importantly many laughs at this horrible disease that can threaten to take away your sense of humour!
