I was pleasantly suprised by the size of this set. There are 3 paint by number scenes 22x33cm, 20x28cm and 14x21cm the paint pots are an excellent size and great colours. A brush is also included. For it's current half price it's a bargain and would make a perfectly acceptable birthday party gift for a 4-9 year old. It's worth its rrp price compared to the other more common 99p sets on the market and it's a perfect rainy day activity.
I wouldn't recommend it for under 4 as the sections to colour in are still relatively intricate and small. My 4 year old doesn't have the level of manual dexterity (or patience) to do them but my 7 and 9 year old love 'painting by numbers'.
The painting boards are thick cardboard (grey on the reverse) which doesn't bend giving a good painting surface and the paint is nice and thick.

Bought this for my daughter aged 3. She loves painting but this is a little bit fiddly for her.I have put it away to bring out next year

This item was for my grandson who is four years old and he has had so much pleasure in doing the painting and proudly displaying it on his achievement board.. I thought the pictures well planned and the colours good. It was exceptionally good to have pictures of different sizes and overall I felt it was good value for the amount of time it kept my grandson occupied and enjoying what he was doing
