This is a great kit - I'm buying a couple more to have in the cupboard for party presents. A rare craft activity that's equally good for girls and boys! I'd say best suited to 4-7 yr olds, but I had fun making them too. It was such good quality and a brilliant price that I made a point of getting other Crayola kits subsequently as a result of trying this one. Big thumbs up for the funky pebble bugs!

I bought this for my daughter (aged 5). I was a little jubious as I thought it is 'just decorating rocks', how wrong I was!!!! This kit provided hours of fun!! Included is 5 rocks, colouring pens, card bodies for the bugs and their wobbly eyes. A really nice touch is the 'snakes and ladders' style game sheet, card counters and dice included that you can play with after the decorating has finished.
I now have 4 pet rocks on my windowsill, and very nice they are too!

I bought this for xmas for my 7yr old niece. She could not have been happier - it even competed with her new DS. It also means when she has friends round they have to have brought a rock to decorate and many of the items are replaceable from stationary shops. She even had to stop her older brother and sisters from taking over and they range up to 13yrs old.
More fun than a fun thing.
For the price it makes a perfect inexpensive children's party prezzie.

Bug rocks
Very simple but provides good entertainment creating and then playing with the 'bugs'. An added touch with the game and mask as part of the packaging. Good value product.

Doesn't really rock!
There's not much in the box to be honest. A bit of plaster of paris, a few colouring pens and some beads/sequins. I felt a bit cheated when I looked at the contents.
