Adding guitarist Ricky Serrano and bassist Ryan “Deuce” Gregory, Crash Street Kids released their debut, “Let’s Rock and Roll Tonite” in 2005. The album (sub titled “the Supersonic Star Show part one”) was loosely based around the concept of “The Kid”, a fictional glam rock superstar set in 1975. With it’s modernized mix of epic 70’s glam rock and punk, the album received glowing reviews from critics worldwide. Under the guidance of former Pink Floyd production guru Mick Treadwell, CSK set about to create a unique show. Using ramps and scaffolding for the set, then adding spray painting hooligans and cheerleaders into the mix, the “Supersonic Star Show” came to life. CSK elaborated on the concept with their second album, 2007’s “Chemical Dogs”. A record that revels in the excesses of rock stardom, it is told through the eyes of “the Kid” and his groupie “Mary Ann”. The record was named Album of the Year on BCFM Radio Bristol, UK. Also, the L.A. Music Awards bestowed CSK with “Breakthrough Artist of the Year”. The Kids’ then graced the cover of the Phoenix New Times, who called “Chemical Dogs” the great lost glam rock concept album of the pre-punk 70’s. In 2008, the third and final installment of the Supersonic Star Show “Transatlantic Suicide” was released to more rave reviews. The CD was accompanied by a DVD featuring the documentary “The Making of the Supersonic Star Show” and “CSK Live at the Whiskey a Go-Go”.
