I use these trousers 5 days a week at work, trekking many miles across boggy and wet areas. My first pair are still going strong after 8 months continual use, they have very minor wear - fairly amazing for a lightweight/thin trouser. They still have no rips, despite frequent climbing of deer and barbed wire fences (in comparison my rip-stop waterproof trousers are shredded). The trousers are comfortable as under-trousers, even when sodden through all day. They also dry out very quickly (although Scotland rarely gives them a chance). They do however dry overnight hanging on a back of a chair. The light colour shows up ticks, and I haven't been bitten by midges or cleggs through the trousers (although I wouldn't expect to be either). I have only had a couple of ticks when wearing these trousers compared to many while using other brands/materials (this is based on experience and possibly chance rather than science/product design).
