These are the winter version of the extremely popular, classic Kiwi Trousers, but with a snug fleecy lining for added warmth. They feature a reliably weather-resistant finish and with eight useful pockets, they're great winter hiking trousers. These make up part of the Craghoppers reliable outdoor clothing range that has been expanded to include more value outdoor gear. As with all Solar Dry garments made by Craghopper this has been tested in every colour to ensure it meets a minimum UPF 40+, the international standard for clothing to be considered truly protective. Many Craghoppers garments, including this one, use fabrics and finishes that give total 'easy care' attributes, such as fast drying and minimum ironing. This is achieved either through the use of crinkle weave constructions or by the addition of a finish that encourages creases to simply drop out. For warm insulation these trousers feature a natural down and boucle fleece for a super-soft alternative to wool. well made for long walks or being out in colder weather and comfortable but not they are not suited to any hill climbing as the linning sticks to your leg as you climb but good trousers non the less

My partner is quite seriously ill and has to keep warm even when he can't move around. These, and several other pairs, do the job perfectly. They've become like his security blanket and only come off when the odd rare heat wave arrives.
Fortunately, they don't show as being thermal lined so he doesn't look odd wearing them when other people are in shorts. They look like normal lightweight trousers, a bit baggy, but ok.
We have tried other brands including Rohan, but these, despite being fairly cheap, are much the best. The Rohan ones look much smarter but their waists are too tight and high, and since he has breathing difficulties, a loose fitting lower waist is important to him.
They wash and dry extremely well.

Excellent product! The trousers are very comfortable to wear and keep my legs warm. I recently walked in them for two hours in torrential rain and found that the rainwater ran off them like water off a ducks back! After two hours of heavy rain both legs sprung leaks around the knees and the inner lining became damp. That's not bad for a garement which is 'showerproof' Recommended !

the best I've had!
