Book Description

#5 in series. Space Opera.
He's back and “Craggier” than ever.
It was time for the Human race to expand their horizons One of the biggest missions ever undertaken has volunteers heading out into previously unknown space. But they aren't the only ones with their eyes on the prize and the race is on. Craggy has other concerns, like his gammy leg. It has to be amputated. But is it possible that even at ninety-eight years old, another mission in space beckons?
The only other planet with their name on it was Tryzon, best described as a “snowball in space”. Only hard bitten miners lived there. Home was the first planet seriously colonised by Humans after Mars. Home eventually became the hub of the Human empire and the Deep Space Intelligence organisation. But how did the Humans find this planet? It almost didn't happen. Had it not been for the old story teller, Dixon “Craggy” Cragg, Home and the whole sector would have been lost to the Humans. This is what happened.

More About the Author

Hi, everyone. Nice to meet you all. I so appreciate the interest you have in my books and all the nice reviews. (The Songs of Angels isn't one of my books, by the way. That's another Gary Weston).
The "Craggy" books seem to be popular. Perhaps my British humour in them goes down well. When I think of Craggy, I see David Jason, Del Boy himself. I'd love to see him in a film version. David???
Starlight Army is set in the Midlands, and although fiction, is about real people. They do a lot of work for the P D S A and proceeds from that book go to that charity. More of a young adult sort of book.
A little about me. I am from the West Midlands of England, but now live in a small, rural town in New Zealand. I have my dog Minnie for company. If I hit a plot hole, I take her for a walkies and it sorts itself out.
I was never going to write science fiction, but having found space opera, I write a lot of it.
Other books, such as the Dusty Miller series, is set in New Zealand, so the places are as described. Same for One Man's Dream. The place Craig Rogers builds his home is real.
That's about it for now. Thank you for reading my books and I look forward to writing many more for you. Gary Weston

I liked the stores enough to have read the entire series. I enjoyed it and found it quite entertaining. It was different something new that I had not seen or read before. The story plot lines weren't super complicated and kept to a more or less simple formula. But the author still put in twists, suspense and mystery though.
4.0 out of 5 stars I recommend this for almost everyone. 17 May 2014

A good read. Needs another in the series. What happens to Craggy? Interesting without being too hard to believe. Hard to put down once you start.
