1.0 out of 5 stars Not useful for craft projects 2 May 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I bought this book at the same time as a few others for my classroom as I'm currently working on a World War Two topic with my class. I liked the idea of some craft projects related to the topic so felt this book was worthwhile. It says on the front cover:

Things to Make
Facts
Activities

Imagine my surprise when I opened the book to find a grand total of THREE craft activities in it and ZERO "activities." The only craft projects are making a tin hat, the recipe for a flan using carrots and the template for a paper aeroplane.

The facts and information is standard children's non-fiction fare, but I was irritated in that I'd already bought books to cover this and was looking specifically for craft projects.

4.0 out of 5 stars crafts for topic 12 May 2013

Good book with interesting crafts as far as it went. Would have like more, smaller crafts to do, but very useful and worth the money.

really simple and informative book. Great for my Year 2s. They loved looking at it and finding out about WW2 topics, and then using it to create various crafts. We made our own ration books and WW2 bombers!
