Not really a horror, 16 Dec 2008
This review is from: Cradle Of Fear [2001] [DVD] (DVD)
The film isn't really for horror fans but if you like a good laugh then this film is for you. I bought it and i just couldn't stop laughing at how bad this movie is. It was a big let down.

Truley bizzare..., 28 Oct 2004
This review is from: Cradle Of Fear [2001] [DVD] (DVD)
I wasn't entirely sure how many stars to give this one. I could give it five for being very entertaining ie - keeping me and all my mates at the time laughing histerically at it for being so bad or it could have one star because the acting is appaling and there appears to be no plot (that flows anyway!) so I gave it 3 to be on the safe side. We only rented this out because we knew we wanted a horror movie but and went into Blockbusters blind and picked the first thing we saw and Johnathon Ross said it was Marvellous don'tcha know?! There may be a lot, and I mean A LOT of blood and gore to keep you hiding behind cusions/sofas/people but otherwisw thats about all that it offers as a horror movie. Bless Dani Filth for taking part in this twaddle, but as a main character he doesn't say much and at the end where he ends up with only half a head be prepared to be overcome with The Giggles at the erm, 'wonderful' special effects - pure class! This is definately a movie to watch on a girly sleepover as it was watched by me and five friends and we've now all created ledgendary phrases such as "Potato Babies", "I want your leg" and "AARrrrggh that's gross!" Watch it and you'll understand... A movie that will stay with you forever.

For Filth fans only..., 18 April 2006
Cradle of Fear is a horror film about... well I'm not too sure!
It would seem that it's nothing more then an excuse to see a lot of blood and guts, but if that's what you like, then why not?
It's true, there is very little substance to this film, the storyline is almost non-existant, or rather there are too many stories within this film to keep track of, with one reacurring theme... Dani Filth as "the man". Yep, this is a film in which Dani Filth stars as a ... "man" but doesn't really play any part in the film at all. That's not to say it's not enjoyable at all! I myself am a fan of both blood and guts and Cradle of Filth so you can't really go wrong here! Just be aware, the effects really aren't that good. And like I said, Dani Filth isn't in this film nearly as much as he should be!
