I absolutely love this series of books. They have great pictures and are fantastic for engaging your children in either learning a classic in a simple way or making their own story. They also look fantastic on the shelf - good quality.

I love these books for my grand daughter. Classics in twelve words. They are so clever and the felted illustrations are some of the very best.

These illustrations are gorgeous! 7 July 2013
By Kelly - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Board book
These books are marketed with the line "Give a kid a classic!" I adore literature, and when I got pregnant, I started a new book list in my brain: Books to Introduce to My Son One Day. I aspire to raise a reader, and these books are a wonderful way to get started on that goal.

The illustrations are stunning: needle-felted and wonderfully expressive. I wish they would mass-produce these little vignettes so I could buy them and put them on display in my home library. They're that good. My 11-month-old son loved them, too: he leaned forward, reaching for the characters and interested by the lifelike expressions on their faces.

For honesty's sake: will my son remember (or, really, even understand) the plotline to Les Miserables just because I read him this book? Of course not. But it can't hurt to plant the literary seed now. And also, it keeps me engaged. I loved looking for elements of Victor Hugo's story in the pages of this board book, and it sated my appetite (for now, at least) for sharing a literary classic with my son.

Adorable! 30 May 2013

I'm a big Les Mis fan, and I have a grandchild with more to come, so I took the advice of other reviewers and bought this beautiful, amazing, adorable book! It is incredible how the artistry of the story line is preserved, but in a way that is not scary for children. I don't want to give any spoilers to those not familiar with the plot, so I will just close by saying that this is a fabulous introduction for tiny toddlers to a classic story!

Little Treasures 2 Oct. 2013

This is for my 2 year old granddaughter, and actually a joke for her mom, who adores Les Mis! This is a totally new concept, as far as I know. The creators take the serious literary masterpieces and photograph pretty felted people and sceneries with just one word accompanying the opposite page.

The whole set of these titles, Cozy Classics, would be a hoot at a baby shower. Who could have imagined War and Peace as a baby's board book?? I still dont know how theyve accomplished Anna Karenina!

In Les Miserables, the last page features the whole family hugging, and the word is Together. An appropriately sweet ending for a baby.

adorable 1 July 2013

The Cozy Classics series is adorable! I love how they take a story and condense it into single words ... as a teacher of reading and writing I find the concept intriguing and am hoping to challenge my students to take their favorite story and condense it in a similar way. The variety of classics represented in the Cozy Classics stories is very fun - personally, I'm looking forward to getting Anna Karenina and War and Peace in the future :)

Wonderful for little ones and parents 30 Sept. 2013

We've been on the hunt for books that spark our toddler's interest in our own. We currently own Cozy Classics' adaptation of Les Mis and Pride and Prejudice. The illustrations are beautiful and timeless. Each of the twelve words chosen are perfect for toddlers, but give parents the opportunity to expand on the story over time. My child loves her Cozy Classics books, and so do I. Looking forward to purchasing more from them!
