Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

The latest Jerry Bruckheimer production focuses on five 20-something women working their way through life at a fashionable bar in New York City. Four new LeAnn Rimes tracks highlight this collection. Though all from the pen of veteran songwriter Diane Warren, the tracks vary in style from diva pop ("Can't Fight the Moonlight") to sentimental musings ("Please Remember"). It is only a matter of time before Rimes leaves country music completely behind for the sleek modern world of mainstream pop. The remaining songs are a hotchpotch of different eras. EMF's "Unbelievable" and Snap's "The Power" hark back to the early 1990s, while Don Henley and INXS deliver the dancebeat kick of the 1980s. The firing fiddle of the Charlie Daniels Band's 1979 hit "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" seems out of context here. But then, this bar must have one odd jukebox to begin with. --Rob O'Connor

When I first saw the trailer, I was not impressed. It was not high on my priority list of "To See" movies. I passed the first time around, then my teenaged niece (17) told me to watch it because she thought I would like it, I thought what to heck. I watched, I laughed, I was entranced, I fell in love with the entire cast. It was one of the best movies I have seen in quite a while. I had to go out and buy the sound track the next day, and am still playing it. I suggested the song, "Please Remember" as a present for my niece to give to her underclassmates on her basketball team. The words express all the feelings and emotions they are going through as juniors and seniors all going their separate ways after graduation. I will get the video to keep in my library, and I do not buy many, only the movies I feel really deal with life and love and people. Thanks for giving us this gift of great entertainment.

A great soundtrack for a great film The best songs are two Leann Rimes songs " Can't fight the moonlight " and "Right kind of wrong" The film has more song in than are shown on the soundtrack i.e Kid Rock - Cowboy ( played during a dance when they pour water over themselves ) And one way or another by blondie - a great song which jersey sings in the bar to stop a punch up. Anyway buy the soundtrack See the film and then Buy the film on video when it comes out on amazon !

mixture of music both old and new
This is an exellent soundtrack to an excellent film. The only bit which lets it down is it doesn't have Blondie on it (one way or another) and it doesn't have kid rock (cowboy). Read more
