Product Description

Product Description

Coyote, the trickster in Native American lore, doesn't care that it's Christmas - he just cares that he's hungry. In order to trick a family out of their Christmas dinner, Coyote dresses up as Father Christmas and offers a sack full of straw for presents in return for a warm meal. Imagine his surprise when his sack turns in to the perfect gifts - and the trickster becomes the tricked! Based on traditional Native American stories about the trickster Coyote, and illustrated by the unique S.D. Nelson, this is a perfect Christmas story.

About the Author

collector of chldrens books 24 Jan 2008

Format:Hardcover
This book is a good chldrens book for the holidays. The coyote, who likes to tick everyone, is the one who is tricked. The children I read to have short attention spands, so the short story was a nice length. And the illustrations were great.

Coyote Christmas is Captivating and Charming! 11 Jun 2009

I am a huge fan of S.D. Nelson's artistic gifts. This book is no exception. The artwork is as engaging as the story. I have every book he has ever written or illustrated. If you enjoyed this book, pick up a copy of "The Star People", written by Nelson. He constantly amazes me with his use of colors and images. I only hope one day I have the pleasure of shaking his hand and telling him so in person. I am a brand new teacher and I hope to utilize this story in my classroom. Thanks again for another great book!
