A short, but fairly sweet album. Seven tracks, thirty minutes. That's what you're getting. I've only heard half the tracks before so i'm assuming it's from the motion picture that should be on it's way to England some time next century.
I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for some background music, especially if you don't understand French. For some reason three of the tracks seem to be in French, you see. This isn't that bad though, because if you don't understand it, it simply becomes part of the music, and flows over you.
There is one English track though, namely Doggy Dog, but since it consists largely of the words 'we are the doggy doggy dogs' I get the impression that this is the more humourous track this CD has to offer.
However, language shouldn't hold any reason not to purchase this. It is a fairly well put together CD, and one that would probably be played in stores, were it not for the doggy dog song.
On the other hand, I don't recognise the majority of the tracks. Many that I perhaps expected, such as Tank! and Green Bird (?) can be found on other albums. So I suppose my advice is buy this if you have the money, and possibly a large French vocabulary. But if you are after a Cowboy Bebop soundtrack with the songs that, in some ways, make the show what it is, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
