About the Author

CLARE SELLEY has lived in her adopted city of Coventry for 8 years and has come to appreciate the historical side of the city. Using her passion for photography she is keen to share the hidden gems that Coventry has to offer. Clare lives in Coventry with her husband and 2 cats - none of whom enjoy having their photograph taken!

As a Coventrian, and having lived in the city for over 60 years, I thought I knew pretty much all there was to know about my city, but here are photographs of parts of buildings and architectural features I had never seen before. The sort of details you walk past every day and never notice are here beautifully photographed.
All those who think Coventry is an ugly city should get a copy of this book!. Well done Clare Selly.

This book is simply great. It lays bare the myth that Coventry is a dump. There are jewels around this city. Jewels that Clare has found and recorded for us all to see. So whether you are a history nut or are simply walking around the city as a tourist this book is a must.
Go buy it... and see what the Luftwaffe and the subsequent town planners left for us to see of this once wonderful medieval city. The discovery is worth the trip and in this book Clare has left many a clue. Read and then go see for yourself.
