Karl Rove has a simple view of the world. You have the enemy, anybody who does not agree with the ideas of US republicans (except those who come from the East Coast, whom have different ideas, and so are also enemy). These enemies are either weak or bad or stupid or all three of them. The US democrats are the principal enemy. They must be eliminated. Fortunately the world also contains the US republicans, who are principally engaged in saving the world by bravely fighting the enemy.
Another interesting aspect of this book is that even for a reader who has only minimal memory it sometimes feels as if a chapter has been cut out. As an example: the episode in which secretary Powell - in his speech before the U.N.- misinformed a world audience about Irak.I would very much have liked to know Roves inside knowledge on the episode.
Interesting because it presents some arguments in the debate about the Bush years.
But the main relevance is that it shows the Bush regime as a fighting machine, highly effective in destroying, totally ineffective in building.
