I wanted to learn which bird makes which noise, but there is no voiced explanation at the beginning of each track to tell you which bird is next, so unless you keep an eye on the track number and have the contents list in your hand, this isn't a very helpful CD.

It is a good CD to start learning bird songs. Each track is a different countryside species, most of which are the common species you are likely to see and hear and because of this it has helped me a lot. However, now having got this one on the countryside birds I find myself wanting one of all British bird species.

I had hoped for just a lot of lovely birdsong on a cd but these are all individual birds doing their bit. Not what i was after at all.
