I have purchased and read many painting technique books, but this one stands out from the crowd. The instructions were unbelievably clear, and so simple and easy to follow. The results extremely professional. I couldn't paint before, but I can now! I have actually sold many items of painted terracotta all as a result of this book. FANTASTIC BOOK. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

I have owned this book for some years and did lots of the paintings especially the lovely goose on various items, but mostly terracotta pots which I then sold. Really popular. I have just taken it up again as I give art and craft classes to day care patients at my local hospice, and they were so impressed with the quick results. The pig is really good to start with, and fun to do, then progress through the book. It has got me going again with my painting art. I am not a painter but quite good at self taught crafts and this has enabled me to paint and with professional results. My patients love this book too. Beware though, it can become quite addictive and before you know it, you'll have lots of household things repainted.

A lot of fun but a little disappointing

I enjoy this book no end but I would have preferred a little bit more variety of subjects rather than the same one being repeated dressed up differently.
