About the Author

Educated at Wadham College, Oxford, David was a television documentary director and scriptwriter for more than 20 years, working in the U.K. and North America. He is now a full-time writer, based in the Yorkshire Dales, and has published more than 30 titles covering a wide range of travel, leisure and local history topics. David has written previous editions of the Country Living guides including Ireland, the Heart of England and the North East. Other Travel Publishing titles include Yorkshire, Ireland, Scotland, Dorset & Hampshire, the Highlands & Islands and Devon.
