This review is from: A Country Boy Ep: a Tribute to Elvis (Audio CD)
The EP "a country boy" was written and manufactured on request of London's no1 radio station Capitol Gold by dj "Ceaser the Geezer" a big Elvis fan who wanted to play something special on the "40th anniversary" of Elvis's death, written and recorded by Steve Mathieson (aka FATTKATT) and Steve Halliday, the track was played several times on capitol radio, Ceaser also requested a ballad and Steve Mathieson wrote "king of rock and roll" to suit the purpose, the decision was made to release it as and EP and drafted in 2 songs by musician Dave White and with a bit of tweaking all four songs were recorded by Europe's top Elvis (daily mail) the multi talented Steve Halliday star of many TV, Radio and stage shows as a fitting tribute to the "king of rock and roll"
