Count on Countin on Frank 19 May 2000
By A Customer - Published on
This book contains wonderful illustrations of a boy and his unforgetable dog Frank. The boy, as he's referred to in the book, uses Frank as a unit of measure. The boy also calculates fascinating and interesting facts about peas (his least favorite vegetable), humpback whales, his father and the bathtub. It inspires readers to reconsider measurement and allows them to laugh at the same time. It is a wonderful book full of intresting, if sometimes seemingly useless, facts about numbers, calculation and one amazing dog name Frank!
Hilarious. 2 Aug. 2012

Get ready, Moms. This book is hilarious.

An old-man-looking little kid tabulates up math facts and comes up with amazing conclusions, which are illustrated to full humor potential.

This book appeals to kids, but especially to those kids who go for visual puns and non-obvious humor. My Mr. Bean fan was laughing so hard at this book, *especially* the pages with the boy and Frank fully dressed and the house toaster, that he could not talk at all.
Too young for 4th graders 19 Jan. 2015

I didn't think this was appropriate for Grade 4 at all. I actually sent it back because when I read it to my upper elementary students, only 2 of the 4th graders enjoyed it, and the older ones thought it was pretty lame. Honestly, so did I. The text and pictures are much more suitable for Grade 2.
