Bought this timer because the one I had only rang for about 2 seconds so quietly I could not hear it. This timer however, is extremely easy to set, rings loud enough to hear, clear numerals. All together a really excellent buy. Would recommend it. I received it in double quick time. Need a timer, this is the one to get.

Third of this type of pesky little thing I bought within a week or two. First one (IKEA) fell in the porridge (magnet not strong enough). Second one (John Lewis) fell on the cooker and broke (magnet not strong enough). This one sits on the work surface, has nice big numbers, makes a suitably loud noise at the appropriate moment and tells you how long over the required time it has been since it went off (might be useful). A bit plasticky but does the job effectively nonetheless. And it has survived longer than either of the other two which has to be a good thing. And if it is good enough for Raymond Blanc (he was using one in one of his Kitchen Secrets programmes, 14.3.2011) then it is good enough for me)

This is a brilliant little timer at an excellent price - just what we needed - it is so easy to operate, gives a very audible beep when the time is up and if for any reason one missed hearing it, it continues to beep and lets you know the amount of time that has lapsed from the time it was set for. It attaches magnetically to a metal surface or stands on its own - one couldn't ask anymore of such an item.
