Quiz compilers Michael Wylie and Damian Eadie are former finalists on the show: Michael way back in 1983 when he lost to Joyce Cansfield in Series I and Damian, who triumphed in the final of Series 28 over Wayne Kelly in 1994. They both live in Leeds.

The Countdown books are exactly as the show and are good for everyone to play, alone or as a group. It also helps young people to learn how to use a dictionary (for spelling and definitions)and improves arithmetic.
