Book Description

Hezbollah has obtained an atomic bomb and a would-be martyr eager to deliver it -- and that's the good news. The bad news, unknown even to Hezbollah, is that their physicist has also found a way to take his new bomb back to a turning point in European history.

Harry Bowen, an American physicist, and Terrence Ambling, a British agent turned historian, are determined to stop Abdul Faisel and prevent the nullification of all Western civilization. Their mission can be accomplished, if at all, only in the darkest of the Dark Ages --

And there, too, time is running out...

4.0 out of 5 stars Good book, anticlimatic ending 10 Jan. 2013
By Christipher - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
THe book "Countdown to Armageddon" has many tipping points that make this book memorable even after not looking at it for a period of time.
- Battle of Tours specifically laid out
- History laid out in an alternate timeline
- Accurate to the time period
- Hint of truth twisted around into all sorts of ways

Despite all of these things about this fastpaced read, there is something wrong with the book, as the ending is extremly anti-climatic, forcing the book to basically repeat its self in a never-ending circle until the cycle is broken, costing it one star.
5.0 out of 5 stars A top pick for anyone looking for exciting fiction on a budget 9 Oct. 2010
By Midwest Book Review - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
When you want entertainment, sometimes one book isn't enough. "Countdown to Armageddon/A Stranger in Paradise" combines 2 novels into one book. In Countdown to Armageddon, Hezbollah attains a nuclear weapon, but unbeknownst to the world, it may not be used for modern terror, but something else entirely. A Stranger in Paradise is a compilation of five short fiction stories with plenty of topics. "Countdown to Armageddon/A Stranger in Paradise" is a top pick for anyone looking for exciting fiction on a budget.
