Just finished this one and straight online to buy another of Ms Rose's thrilling and compelling reads!!!!
This book had the perfect mix of crime, thriller, romance (but not soppy-gripping!) and a solid background story to make you feel pain for the perpetrator just as much as you want to kill him yourself! Even with sensitive parts to the storyline (similar to Karin Slaughter), Rose doesn't go cheap and explain sordid details for sensationalism. She puts the right words in the right places without making you squirm uncomfortably but keeps you gasping on the edge of your seat (literally, the other bus passengers on the way to work each morning gave me a few funny looks!!!)and needing to read on whenever you get the chance. Mia and Reed are wonderful characters to love and respect and I can't wait for my next Rose adventure.
THE book for lying on the sofa with a glass or three of wine!

I have read several of Karen Rose books but. I am used to the to-ing and fro-ing between time and charecters. The beginning was so hard to get past. I still have the book and if any one convince me to give it another go i will.

There were many elements of this book that I enjoyed, it is overall a gripping crime novel. However it would have been better without the liberal doses of romance that frankly I ended up skipping whenever I encountered them, as I found them a bit tedious. Ultimately the effect was that the book couldn't make it's mind up whether it was a crime investigation novel or a mills and boon, and suffered for it. The characters were in the main interesting, and it's worth reading for the crime aspect of the book.

Great book
Gripping, great story line, fabulous twists and turns, couldn't put it down. Very good read which flowed brilliantly to the end. Highly recommended.

I downloaded this to my kindle and started reading immediately. I could not put it down. Great story as you would expect from the author. Kept me on my toes right to the end.
