It really is a good technical book and has major insights, great introduction and the following chapters, which I have taken parts from, have helped me form my own method. I would not say this was a guide as such but it does offer young professionals some background into how to slowly approach this topic with a team around them to help direct and understand client's responses. You really do need a team around you if you are still new to this area, despite the book being really good often I have been caught off-guard and have to request/required assistance in dealing with certain matters.

The approach in this book is fresh from other books, having been classically trained in cognitive psychology, it was not only interesting but also helped me integrate what I already knew with a more rounded approach. Using the two, along with a few other sources, I am slowly becoming more confident dealing with this difficult and [wrong words] depressing aspect of therapy. So I would recommend this as part of a collection of material but you'll have to have both experience in general and training (in my case in the form of classic psychological approaches) to find this of any help.
