Product Description

Product Description

'This is a very sensible book that explains clearly the clinical problems related to allergy. A book to be recommended.' Professor Jonathan Brostoff, Director, Centre for Allergy Research and Environmental Health, University College London. 'Could it be an allergy?' is one of the questions people most commonly ask their doctors. With an increasing variety of symptoms being attributed to allergies, the question is becoming more and more frequent and important. What can sufferers and carers do if they suspect an allergy? Dr Joe Fitzgibbon's latest book is a comprehensive guide to all allergic symptoms. He discusses their complexities and confirms that it is possible to get to the root cause of many of them, and so find a way to a healthy and often symptom-free future. 'Could it be an Allergy?' is written for the layperson by a leading specialist in the field. Carefully laid out, each section includes case histories, questions and answers on the particular allergy, and advice on what to look for and how to address it. A directory of support and help groups throughout Ireland and Britain is included. Other books by Joe Fitzgibbon Feeling Tired All The Time Weight Loss for Health Gain.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very informative with diets for specific allergies., 24 May 2001

This review is from: Could it be an Allergy? (Paperback)
This book gives all the background medical information you could need about allergies.

The case histories make very interesting reading with some surprising cures detailed within.

There are diets to try which not only help you feel better, but aim to find out which foods you are allergic to. I know someone personally who has benefited from the diets.

It is not just food based however, with plenty details on dustmites, pollens, etc.

Well worth buying, even if you are not aware of any allergies.
