Courteney Cox's Friends cast mates would kill for material as good as this! Don't expect anything like Friends, Courteney plays the mature mother finding her way after a divorce. A Fantastic supporting cast make this a true TV gem which I love to watch again and again. Cougar Town [DVD] [2009] manages to throw in elements of slapstick, sarcasm and general good humour in all the right measures! Can finally free up some room on the Sky Plus box now!

OMG, this programme is absolutely hilarious. When it comes to TV shows, it takes a lot to make me genuinely laugh out loud but this hit the spot completely. The characters are fantastically developed and the comedy timing is dead on. I can't think of one character I don't like, or one episode that hasn't made me chuckle.
If you liked Friends, you will probably like this too, although Cougar Town is more grown up and sophisticated (the fact that it's not in front of a studio audience works to its' advantage). Courtney Cox is fabulous as Jules and her co-stars are equally as brilliant.
I've heard they are thinking of changing the title of the show because really, Jules is only a "cougar" in the first few episodes. So don't be fooled by the title, this isn't really a show about a 40-something women chasing 20-something guys!
I genuinely cannot praise this show enough, I love it and can't wait for serious 2 to come to the UK!

I love this show, it's really funny, witty it literally make me burst out laughing even rewatching it!. I've had this a few months and rewatched it atleast three times it's that good!. Courtney Cox (Jules) plays a recently divorced mom with a 17/18 year old son Travis (who she is a little possessive over to say the least)she initially dates younger guys but that only lasts for a few epi's, then there's Ellie her best friend who has a baby (called Stan) she is a little mean but is SO funny with it she is married to Andy a small bald cuban guy who is also amazingly funny and has a bit of a bromance with Bobby (Jules ex husband), Bobby is just hilarious you have to watch to understand the kind of person he is, Laurie is Jules' other bestfriend who is in her twenties and gets herself into some seriously funny situations and has some really funny stories from her childhood and then there's Grayson also recently divorced with a bar where everyone goes to 'bore' him with their problems - oh and Barb (possibly one of the best characters) her inuendo is really funny! and she is a prolific man eater (pun intended!!).
This is one fo the best comedies I have seen on TV for a while!.

I have to say that out of all of the stars of Friends, Courtney Cox to me is the most credible, successful and funniest. I saw this series on cable and bought it as soon as it came out - I'm currently watching series 2. I just love all of the the characters, but it's Ellie who has given me the most laugh out loud moments! I so wish the UK could come up with something as funny as this...Highly recommended.

I bought this for my girlfriend's birthday recently but I think I love it even more than her! It's not only really funny, but it's brilliant value - compare it to a BBC series DVD which normally has 6 episodes, this has an incredible 24 episodes! Brilliant value, brilliant series - if you don't like it you're wrong. PENNY CAN!

This is one of the funniest things on TV recently, just sit through the first two episodes that kind of make mistakes every now and then (you might know what I mean when you watch it), it's gonna get so much better.
Hilarious.

Ok first off it was so easy rating this series! Max points all the way! I stumbled upon this by total chance! And though it looked very "chicky" the pure fact Courteney Cox was the main star was enough for me to try it out, besides, a full series for under 10? I can't even get a take out for one with that! So it was sold.
On first opening I noticed the back stating writer of Scrubs, ok Scrubs I liked, got the full collection, loving the quirky humour and crazy characters, not into the drama of real life (after all, thats what real life is for right? I love getting away from that) at least too much.

On first watching, seeing Courteney Cox pulling at her skin and finding "wobbly parts" I couldn't help but find a rekindling of love for the dark haired beauty! Sounds strange? Well yes it was considering the scene was supposed to describe in actions a woman closing to mid life, single and feeling un-sexy. But hey thats me, I'm a 29 year old male and I love the mature ladies!
Now if you are like me, an old Scrubs fan you will notice a couple of familiar faces! For instance Jules' (Cox) best friend Ellie (Christa Miller) who's way of speaking to/at people just gets me every time! And some new faces (at least to me/UK viewer) Travis (Jules son) (Dan Byrd) is a quirky character. Bobby (Brian Van Holt) is just a legend and gels the parts very well! Andy (Ian Gomez) is hilarious in multiple ways, both a puppet and a master player to his wife (Ellie) et al. The comedy is a similar style to a few series I've watched over the years but this is still so very refreshing I can't stop laughing, at work I was even picking scenes out in my head! How much fun life would be like Cougar Town :P I'm sold and will be ordering season 2 as soon as I'm done with writing this!
