A wonderful mixture of tracks associated with the Cotton Club, from Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Ethel Waters, and other fine black orchestras and singers of the 1920s and 30s.

A great introduction to the music audiences heard in the legendary Cotton Club revues. Lots of rarities, like a very young Dorothy Dandridge singing as part of The Dandridge Sisters. And the sounds isn't bad, either, for the period ...

An excellent sampler and a terrific bargain as well!
