If you want to cycle off road in the Cotswolds, this is the book. I've done most of the 24 routes in the book, and I don't think I've ever got lost. The routes have really been ridden by the author, not picked from a map. Consequently, you don't find yourself on impassible bridleways.

This is an excellent book for anyone who wants to see the Costwolds away from the tourist areas. A good range of routes from easy to strenuous. The easy ones are just the job if you're looking for something a little more challenging than prepared surfaces like old railway tracks.
Take heed of the author's advice about maps - if you use the 1:25000 series you'l have few problems in following the routes.

A book full of great rides; from the vary easy to the very tough. Most of the rides are about 20 miles, but many link together for some great days out. You'll get more out of them with a map and soon be making up your own variations!

A little bit old & some routes will be harder to follow as some priority routes have changed ..nevertheless a good starter book
