If you thought that a-ha would have one single after another, which all sound like 'Take on Me', you would be very mistaken. Following their last smash re-entry to the charts with the rocky 'Analogue' single, they have followed it with a silky smooth & intellegent comment on modern life with 'Cosy Prison'.

The song initially sounds quite willowy and laid back, but the lyrics are far from non-commital. Magne Furuholmen's writing skills are on top form, as are the delectable Morten Harkets' vocals.

I wonder if Morten knows just how haunting his superb voice is...I could listen to him singing about dog poo in the street and it would still leave me thinking that I'd just had one of the best experiences in life.

Another worthy point is that Graham Nash (of Crosby, Stills & Nash) is on backing vocals along with Paul Waaktaar-Savoy & Magne.

WELL DONE LADS ... YOU TRULY ARE SPLENDID.

A-ha are NOT just an eighties band, check out this, the album Analogue and any of their other 8 albums and you may be surprised. As a band that have been around over twenty years they have a depth which goes way beyond Take On Me.

Cosy Prisons is a beautiful song.

Do note though that the track listing here is wrong. Stay On These Roads is only on the picture disc 7" single!

Forget about Keane, Coldplay etc. Welcome the masters back. The best song on their recent album, Cosy Prisons is a fantastic follow to their top ten single Analogue. Just listen and swoon!

AHA have written some of the best ballads in the past two decades, from Hunting High and Low to Dark is the Night...

Cosy Prison is an additional powerful number in that series. The single is a Remix of the album track (Analogue) - A definite must!

Great job making this song "Cosy Prisons" radio ready. Its another

killer cut off of ANALOGUE their 2005 collection. Nice

touches of keyboards and added orchestration as well as

vocals and a slightly faster mix make this EVEN BETTER!! Unfortunatly

The USA is still way behind when it comes to anything other

than rap and stale pop, radio programmers have their heads in

the sand, much like our administration. When was the last time

AHA came to do concerts in America? Seems like way back in 1986?

Tells you something. We didn't give these guys a fair shake because all we can think about is marketing people for their

sexual marketability. They have so much more than than that.

A-Ha has been on a role since their comeback in 2000. Bonus

cut the rocking cool single from 1985-86 "The sun always shines

on TV" just one of many awesome cuts of their 1st collection,

"Hunting High and Low", on this album the USA labeled them a one

hit wonder with "Take on me" the only hit here in America. It

went on to have 4 singles in Europe and sell millions and millions but here in the states we wanted to label these guys "pin-up stars"

and never gave them their due, well isn't it time radio and

their likes stop keeping these guys in the 80's and let them

loose here in the states??
