I have a box of Elagos (wood, metal in small, medium, large & retractable), Wacom, Samsung, BoxWave (a mistake) & a PenGo.I mention these only to demonstrate that I've sampled a fair few. I use them all on my Transformer Prime, Galaxy Note & Galaxy S2.My single aim, until the Cosmonaut, was to get the tip of the pen to be as small as possible to enable as much detail as possible. No doubt you'll have noticed that the tip of the Cosmonaut is not small, so what happened? Well, point one;it's just so comfortable to use! Incredibly so. No metal clips to dig into your hand or (worse still) scratch the screen. Ever so slightly soft to the touch it feels like it's going to last a long time in a way the others just don't. Not even the ones that comes with spare tips/nibs. When I'm getting carried away on the pop-up key board the pen does a magnificent job of equalizing my random manic stabs effectively without damage to pen or screen. Drawing is a work in progress. I thought that it wouldn't be very good, but it is. So my final evaluation is not baked just yet. This is going to come out very well. It's a fine pen & I'll recommend it for sure. Watch this space for the final analysis. Thank you for watching.

Cosmonaut - Wide-Grip Stylus for Capacitive Touch Screens by Studio Neat

I've had a few stylus's for use on my iPad the last of which was the mobileme Acupen which was very good but the touch end would invariably wear quickly and tear the rubber leaving it either half usable or totally useless.

This cosmonaut seems so far to be of higher quality and by its design seems more robust by some degree whilst still retaining touch sensitive quality. It's the thickest stylus I've used, but that is an advantage and is very comfortable to use because of this. It's a simple design of aluminium shaft covered in black matt rubber material for good grip and a black nib which is very responsive and appears very durable in comparison to other brands Ive used prior.

I've used the Cosmonaut on first generation iPad, the iPad 2 and new iPad third generation and stylus excellently performs on all three models.

I bought the Cosmonaut after it received the best in its class award in an apple review magazine and I'd have to agree that this is the case after previously using acupen, griffin and Wacom Bamboo, all of which are good but don't perform nor are as well designed as the Cosmonaut which to date, is the best I've used.

All in all, the Cosmonaut is a quality bit of kit that I use daily and can highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than others 15 Oct 2012

The box it comes in looks a bit cheap. But don't be fooled, the product inside is excellent quality. The stylus tip looks like it will last a long time unlike other more expensive precision styli. It does catch some dust and lint on the rubbery body but that doesn't really bother me cos it feels nice to hold. Using it on the Google Nexus 7. The kids love it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great stylus
Perfect weight and size, feels reliable and robust.

Why only 4 stars? Because it's rather thick, I found it difficult to edit finely detailed artwork. Read more
