This album comes with a story, the label ReR were champions of Ra way way back and imported Saturn albums as well as releasing amongst others the superlative 45rpm foundation maighn nights vol 1. well having paid in advance for a release Ra had a financial crisis and spent the money without pressing the album and gave Re this tape in compensation. Re did little with it, only a limited vinyl release. Now here it is on CD (a benefit for the remaining Arkestra members, but dont think that REcommended records shelved it for any reason of quality. The 1984 live gig contains some fine songs and a piano solo from Ra in a slow boogie style which is a real rarity. This is more space orriented than other albums of this period which tend to contain songs and arrangements of jazz standards. The sound quality is good there is little or no crunch editing of the gig and although there is little in the way of notes the cover well evokes the mood of the album and my onely criticism would be that if a label is going to release a CD that is only 31 minutes long this should be noted somewhere on the box.
