Navy and Red are really good, avoid the Tartan
on 13 December 2012
I've bought the Cosipet trousers in all 3 colours for my cocker spaniels. I started out with the red tartan trousers, which at first I thought were great. However, after less than 2 months of daily use, the elastic band on one of the ankles has snapped and the material itself is wearing thin above the ankles with lots of frays near the ends. The navy and red trousers seem to be much better quality and harder wearing- for some unknown reason, they seem to be made of thicker/heavier material with better wax lining. Further, the red and navy trousers have the additional thick elastic bands attached to the ankles rather than the thin inserted bands of the tartan trousers, which a) helps keep the trouser leg fitted on the dog rather than the leg often coming out in the tartan trousers, and b) are harder wearing than the tartan trouser legs. Given the wet British weather, these trousers have really helped to keep my spaniels clean on the body, though I often stil have to rinse their legs and underside since the gaps for the tail, rear, and underside still allow a lot of damp, mud, and dirt to get on the dog. They coats are easy to clean however, just throw them in the washing machine without detergent and place on rinse/dry for a short period. If your dogs are very active like mine though, running everywhere at high speed, go for the red or navy and avoid the tartan. All 3 colours look great on my pack, however, so I get lots of compliments and queries as to where I've gotten these onesies for dogs!
