I purchased this Highchair in September 09, for my 3rd baby. At first it seemed great, unfussy design with all the features you need, looks great with a bright pink bold flower print cover. Its easy to assemble, folds neatly and has a very handy clip so the tray stores on the back legs when not in use. You need two hands to release/secure the tray which can be a pain if you are not standing directly in front of the highchair when trying to get the tray on or off - but I can live with that. However, having owned this highchair for 10 months I have experienced several problems. The good news is the customer service at Cosatto is great, they have dealt with all of my problems quickly and satisfactorily. They replaced the cover and then the whole highchair completely.I noticed after 4 months of gentle use (with an 8 mth old baby) the cover faded quite badly and several holes appeared in the cover. Where there were creases a hole appeared - not what you would expect of a £70-£80 price range product. Cosatto customer service were great and sent a replacement cover.
It was whilst fitting the replacement cover I noticed there were several hairline fractures in the plastic part at the top, on each leg where the metal leg sits in a plastic cup. As these are at the main structural part of the high chair - it looks to me like if these failed then the chair legs would open up and fall flat. Another minor fault is after a couple of months the painted logo becomes sticky and wipes off - we don't use strong bleaches or detergents on it and nothing stronger than fairy liquid. Cosatto did replace my highchair, and took away the old one in May 2010, However, hairline cracks are appearing in the replacement already after only two months 3 times daily use. My daughter now weighs approx 20 lbs - this chair is supposed to be suitable up to 3 years but is very unlikely to make it. I would have to say it looks great, but the quality is very poor. Also if you are looking to keep this for more than one baby it's probably not for you.
