As the owner of three Corvettes, I know a bit about Corvettes and their history. This book taught me a great deal more about America's sports car. It is exceptionally well-written, and will be interesting to both the Corvette enthusiast and those who only know that Corvettes mean fun. Randy obviously did a great deal of research for this book, and it shows.

What really sets this book apart from the myriad of others written on this subject is David Newhardt's brilliant photography. A contributing editor to several automotive magazines, David's talent for placing Corvettes in front of unusual backgrounds that complement the Corvettes' lines is unequalled.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who has ever had his or her head turned by a Corvette.

terrific 11 Nov 1998

This was the best book I have ever read in my entire life of 87 years. I am a female and usually I am not taken seriously when showing my curiosity of the best American sports car ever created- The Chevrolet Corvette. I am a diehard fan of this extrodinary automibile, and, I, myself, have a collection of 30. This book satisfied my hunger for Corvette information without all the unneccesary sh*t. I would like to congratulate the author on the creation of an exemplory book on an extrodinary automobile.

The best Corvette book ever! 10 Aug 2003

This book reads like a novel; its engrossing and fascinating! Great pictures, great story, great writing, great reading. I read a lot of car books - this is well done. It really goes deep into the history of the car, yet is never boring. Highly recommended! This one stays on my bookshelf - I'm looking forward to reading it again another day.

Very Good Leffingwell Corvette Book 11 Mar 2009
By Jose Lopez - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
I remember buying this book from MBI when it first came out, very good book,
You would think it would be a repeat like many "reissues" of Randy Leffingwell's Corvette Books. But it is not, Good Racing Pics, And history,The only thing is there is some errors(very minute)a caption or two,and an photo being not fitted, also Some bias when it comes to Reagan/recession,etcera.other than that.
Good Photos, Nice Hardcover, Good Reading, Recommend this and The Original MBI issued White Hardcover (with 67 L88 on It) 50 Years Corvette-Randy Leffingwell.
