I bought this for my Hp laptop which is like two years old and it worked fine.no problems just take the old ram and put in the new one and it was recognised once i turned it on ! now i have 2gb ram :D really good for the price

I bought from Amazon for �30 and now its �20 grrr - this matched my laptop RAM exactly (shows what cheap stuff they put in!) BUT this is cracking value and has improved all my load times and program close down times in Vista. Image processing in noticeably faster, I no longer have paging issues and the system has been cheaply improved (now a 2gb Vista machine.)

I bought this to upgrade my ASUS W3V-007, which I bought in March 2006. Installation was a breeze - I should have done this before! ASUS had fitted the existing RAM in the hard-to-access second slot under the keyboard, leaving free the easy-to-access first slot, which sits under a hatch on the back panel. All I needed was a small posidrive screwdriver, and I'm not even sure it was necessary to remove the fan bracket. As a bonus I was able to vacuum away all the dust which had accumulated behind the fan vent, clogging it almost entirely.

Outlook is still painfully slow but the computer is happier than before running many applications at once. I don't think it boots any faster than before. So, memory upgrades are worthwhile, but don't expect miracles!
