Bought this cooler yesterday, arrived today. I originally had the Vishera FX8350 stock cooler, which proved to be too overpowering on the ears and looked vile too. Temperatures were reaching 61c, which to me is way too much and at night, when you want to chill out gaming, lights off and ambient background music, it killed it, majorly.

Then along came this scrumptious little beauty.

Installed it today, wasn't too difficult, would have been easier if I had someone on hand. The manual was descriptive, helpful and concise. You're recommended to install the fans as intake fans, however, I chose not to do this as I have plenty of instakes that work perfectly already.
Connecting the wires was probably the tricky bit, partly because of my sausage fingers and parlty because I couldn't see the connectors, due to such a tight space.
After I'd finished prodding at holes with connectors, I proceeded to turn the whole PC on. Started up straight away, left the side off to check if coolant went spraying everywhere (Which thankfully, it did not), and heard the fans power up. Now, they were audible to start, then the log on screen comes on and they calm down a bit. THEN. if you download corsairs LINK software, you get to control the profiles of each of the fans that came with the cooler. I tested my CPU in quiet mode with OCCT, it hammered my CPU and guess what? On quiet mode, never topped 49c. In fairness it was only a half an hour test, but for fifteen minutes it levelled at 49c. after a few hours I would guess the max it would hit would be around 54c. Which is well within the safety zone.
So, if you haven't guessed I am chuffed to bits with my purchase, quiet mode will be staying permanently on, as it idles at 33c.

So I installed this fantastic cooler on my new Corsair 650d case, a Z77 Sabertooth housing a i3770k processor running at 3.5ghz. New build, hadn't even installed Windows 7 yet.

It should be noted, that I replaced the stock H100i fans with 2 Corsair SP 120mm fans, "quiet" editions, designed to push air through radiators.

I OC'd the CPU to 4.5ghz via the bios straight away, Windows loaded. Good, no voltage problems then.

Checked the idle temps, they were running at around 35-40c with my CPU OC'd to 4.5ghz. Okay, fine I guessed. Seen higher.

Under full load, after an hour or so of Battlefield 3, I minimized to desktop and checked CPU-Z to see the CPU temps. 80-85c. Wow, that's hot. But hey, I'm OCing.

Turns out, that's actually FAR too hot.

Hmm, problem then. I uninstalled the H100i and looked at the CPU. Only about 3/4 of the CPU was covered in the thermal compound that comes with the H100i pre-applied. That's...weird.

I checked online, and apparently the mounting bracket, although completely symmetrical, HAS JUST ONE WAY TO BE INSTALLED on the back of the motherboard. It has 2 notches that have to be oriented upward. Because the backplate is symmetrical and fits at whatever orientation you want, you never assume you've installed it incorrectly.

This is the single, most common error H100i users make.

I re-oriented the backplate and installed the H100i again, AND swapped the SP fans to the stock ones as, apparently, they run cooler if louder.

Fired her up, checked the idle temps after leaving Windows running for about 10 minutes while I had some lunch.

Idling was now 20-25c across the 4 cores.

I was lucky to have my brother to help me set up the cooler. It would have been very difficult to do alone. The instructions are a little crap due to the pictures.

On the other hand, it's currently working well. I have heard of issues where the pump stops working. I hope this doesn't happen to me. The temperature is around 28 on idle and goes to about 33 on usage.

It's nice.

This is my first watercooler so I didn't know on much to look for!!

I like the look of it and how compact it is, it started cooling very well but now it i gets really loud and temperatures are higher than they where when I bought it. I have a i5 2500k and Asus p8 Z77 V-LX motherboard with the CPU at 5.0Ghz which it was at 30-40 degrees but now at idle i get up to 50 which is strange, even clocked at 4.5Ghz my temps weren't that much lower. I am putting another fan on the opposite side of the radiator to see if it cools down more. Would say buy it but only if you are overclocking a little bit or just wanting better cooling!!

Full PC specs:
i5 2500K 5.0Ghz
Asus P8 Z77 V-LX
8GB Kingston Hyper-X Red
EVGA GTX 660 SC edition
120 Kingston SSD
500Gb Western Digital HDD
2x Coolmaster Sickle flow case fans
1x Corsair case fan
Corsair 200r case
Corsair CX 600 PSU
Corsair H55 cooler.

This water cooler is brilliant it keeps my cpu cool that cool In fact I can't get it above 21'c even with the fans on the lowest rpm and I'd like it to be around 40'c so this is very powerful
