I was hoping to get a good quality product from a good brand (Corsair). Unfortunately this was not the case. First I bought a GS800 PSU but then after trying two units I could not accept the loud disturbing whining noise under high load i.e. running games with high quality graphics or test applications like 3D Mark 2011. This was the GS800 not TX850! However..
After buying and installing the TX850 PSU it sounded good, this PSU is not giving out whining noise under load, it's relatively quiet under operation, however it is making the squeaking/whining noise when the PC is off. Impossible to sleep or live in the same room when the PC is off.
Definitely not recommending Corsair PSUs, I am returning this one back for refund too, very disappointed.
